House of Hayvn

Questions & answers

Everything people often ask before they knock. If yours is not here, we would be glad to hear it.

What is House of Hayvn?

A place where every story matters. We offer coaching and mentoring with Haroon, therapy with Rya, speaking and workshops, and partnerships with organisations. Our work is shaped by one belief: when people feel safe enough to be understood, they can grow, heal and thrive.

Who will I be working with?

Haroon Sadiq offers coaching, mentoring and speaking. Rya Sadiq offers therapy; she is a qualified psychotherapist and a member of the BACP and the BABCP. You can read more on the founders page.

What is the difference between coaching, mentoring and therapy?

Coaching helps you find your own answers and act on them. Mentoring adds the experience of someone who has walked a similar road. Therapy offers a safe space to understand and heal from what you carry. Many people are not sure which they need, and that is fine. Our four-question guide or a free call can help you decide.

What happens on the free 15-minute call?

You tell us a little about what you are looking for. We tell you honestly whether we can help, and if not, we try to point you somewhere that can. It is a conversation, not a session, and there is no obligation. Haroon takes calls about coaching, mentoring, speaking and organisations. Rya takes calls about therapy. Request a call.

Do you offer sessions online or in person?

Sessions are offered online, with in-person options to follow.

How much does it cost?

The first call is free. We will tell you the fee clearly before you agree to anything, so there are no surprises. Mentoring is offered on a pay-what-you-feel basis.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes, with a few important limits that we explain openly and early, such as when someone is at serious risk of harm. Read our page on confidentiality and safeguarding.

What if I need to cancel or move a session?

We know that life gets in the way. We will agree how rescheduling and cancellation work with you in writing before you begin, so you know where you stand.

Is House of Hayvn an emergency service?

No. If you are in crisis or in danger, please use the numbers on our Crisis Support page, or call 999. We cannot monitor messages around the clock.

I am neurodivergent, disabled or have access needs. Can you adjust how we work?

Yes. Tell us what would help, such as written rather than spoken communication, more time or a quieter setting. You do not need to explain why. See our accessibility statement.

Can you speak to or work with my team, school or organisation?

Yes. We offer talks, workshops, facilitated conversations and coaching for teams. See speaking and workshops and organisations, or write to us.

What are the conversation cards?

A set of questions for couples, families, friends and teams to take it in turns to answer. They are free to use on our cards page, and nothing you do there is stored.

How do you look after my personal information?

We use what you send only to reply to you. We do not sell it. Our privacy page explains more, including how we count website visits without using cookies.
